Artist Statement

Joseph is a self-taught photographer native to and residing in San Diego, California, USA. Joseph mostly photographs the outdoor world, and he takes equal enjoyment in the solitude of nature, or in the vibrant energy of a city setting. Joseph wants to approach his photography from a place of simplicity, and to avoid making this enjoyable and creative process overburdened from a technical standpoint, but realizing the need to be open to improving his craft. He does not subscribe to a specific style, but instead works from the freedom that is inherent in all human beings…namely, intuition and creativity. His simple hope is that his photographic work promotes an interest in art, and adds to the joy and beauty in the world.
